ASIA FINANCIAL CONTROLLER - China
Main mission is to analyze, control, and improve the financial performance and profitability of our in-house production operations. The Position is located in Guangdong Province
Key responsibilities include (non-exhaustive):
- Financial Control & Performance Management
• Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, margins, and profitability by site
• Define, track, and analyze operational KPIs (efficiency, productivity, cost structure, EBITDA)
• Perform variance analysis versus budget and forecasts
• Support continuous improvement of production efficiency and cost control
- Budgeting, Forecasting & Reporting
• Prepare annual budgets and rolling forecasts for Asian production sites
• Produce monthly financial and management reports to support the finance managers in preparing income statements and balance sheets.
• Work closely with finance managers to ensure the accuracy of monthly closings and the consolidation of financial data.
• Provide clear financial insights and recommendations to management
- Business Partnering & Decision Support
• Act as the financial right hand of the Asia General Manager
• Support strategic and operational decision-making
• Participate in pricing, investment, and capacity analysis
• Drive process improvement and financial best practices across sites
- Compliance, Controls & Risk Management
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP / SOX requirements
• Implement and maintain internal controls
• Coordinate audits and support external auditors
• Monitor cash flow and financial risks
PROFILE REQUIRED:
You are the ideal candidate if:
• You have solid experience as a Financial Controller, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• You are comfortable working with multi-site production operations
• You have strong analytical skills and a business-oriented mindset
• You are able to work closely with operational teams and management
• Experience in an international or Asian context is a strong advantage
YOUR SKILLS:
• Strong financial analysis and reporting skills
• Excellent understanding of cost structures in manufacturing
• Ability to translate numbers into clear business insights
• High level of rigor, autonomy, and reliability
• Strong communication and business partnering skills
• Excellent command of English (written & spoken)
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Excel
• Experience with US GAAP / SOX is required
