BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER VIETNAM

The position is based in Vietnam and will play a key role in driving market development, strengthening customer relationships, and aligning local operations with the group’s global strategy.
Missions
Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving market development and enhancing partner performance in Vietnam, in alignment with the Group’s Southeast Asia strategy. Acting as the key commercial and strategic interface between the local market and the regional organization, you will ensure that business opportunities are effectively identified, developed, and executed.
In this role, you will lead the development of key business segments, including EPC, End User, and OEM markets, ensuring alignment with both the company’s strategic direction and its partner ecosystem in Vietnam. You will continuously analyze market dynamics and conduct in-depth research to define sustainable growth strategies across different industry segments. Monitoring competitors and understanding their positioning will be essential to anticipate market movements and identify opportunities for expansion into new segments.
You will be responsible for securing Approved Manufacturer List (AML) status with targeted customers, while maintaining and updating the Business Development Plan to ensure that all strategic initiatives are executed within the expected timeline. At the same time, you will nurture and strengthen existing relationships with qualified customers and partners, ensuring consistent engagement and long-term collaboration.
Your role will also involve ensuring that all commercial activities are accurately recorded in the CRM system, with timely updates on market activities, customer interactions, and partner performance. You will closely monitor partner order intake against defined targets and ensure that opportunities are effectively followed up by partner sales teams. In addition, you will represent the company’s technical competence in front of customers, requiring a solid understanding of the product portfolio and its industrial applications. Active participation in meetings, industry events, and exhibitions will also be part of your responsibilities.
Beyond market development, you will play a key role in identifying, onboarding, and developing partners across different market segments. This includes selecting suitable partners, defining their sales territories, and supporting the development of their sales structures, service capabilities, and market strategies. Through regular engagement and on-site visits, you will ensure that partners maintain a strong level of product knowledge and effectively utilize the tools and support provided by the company. You will also identify potential Authorized Repair Centres within assigned territories to strengthen after-sales capabilities.
In addition, you will ensure that all customer data is properly maintained and updated within internal systems, including CRM platforms. You will document visit reports, coordinate with internal sales teams, and contribute to the overall efficiency and transparency of the commercial organization.
Profile
You hold a Mechanical, Instrumentation, Process, or Chemical Engineering degree, providing a strong technical foundation for industrial applications.
You bring proven business development experience within the valve, pump, or instrumentation industry, including direct experience working with competitors, giving you a sharp understanding of market positioning and competitive dynamics.
You are recognized for your professional integrity, consistently demonstrating transparency, honesty, and fairness in client relationships, partner engagement, and internal collaboration.
